Allison and Bill Craig are the owners of a small, hands-on Border Collie breeding program nestled in the heart of Ellijay, Georgia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since 2022, they have been dedicated to breeding strong, healthy, well-socialized herding and companion dogs with real farm experience. Their dogs are raised on a 14-acre working dairy farm alongside Duroc pigs and chickens, making farm life a normal part of every puppy’s early development. Each litter receives exceptional care, intentional socialization, and daily exposure to livestock, people, and varied environments. Their goal is to send puppies home confident, healthy, and temperamentally sound—giving each one the best possible start in life, whether as a working partner or a family companion.

Our Story: A Journey of Passion and Purpose

Welcome to the captivating story of Nine Peaks Guardian Dogs! It all began with Bill and Allison Craig, who embarked on a remarkable journey to develop a farm dog breed that would perfectly suit their livestock and farm life.

Nestled in the picturesque beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Bill and Allison are not just passionate breeders of Nine Peaks Border Collies; they are also devoted to raising mini Jersey cattle, developing a dairy program, and nurturing their flock of poultry and Duroc Pigs. Living amidst an abundance of predators like bears, coyotes, and foxes, they knew the importance of having a guardian dog that could protect their cherished livestock and help herd them.

Bill and Allison initially fell in love with Border Collies for their loyal guardian instinct and superb intelligence This breed has an innate passion for herding, which was essential for managing their livestock effectively.
